Alexandra has attended Tabernacle Church for decades seen sitting beside her mother and sometimes with one of her two brothers. She remembers her mom having Bible lessons as a child, growing up in the church and reading the Bible. These are the pillars which brought about a natural progression of getting to know God and love Him. Alexandra has enjoyed traveling since her days as a young adult and has experienced many parts of the world. She enjoys meeting different people, learning about different cultures, and observing how people live. "The essence, the way we choose to live our lives, is not the only way to live," she muses. The two greatest events in her life so far are the birth of her daughter and her daughter’s baptism. Alexandra always knew that she wanted to be a mom and she asked God for a child with the plan to bring her up in the Word of God’s loving grace. So she chose her daughter’s name carefully to reflect that goal--Paloma (dove, Holy Spirit) Anais (God’s grace). Alexandra feels blessed with many people in her life that give her hope when things don’t seem just right. She knows God is there in the kindness of others. Alexandra feels we ought to be kind to others because we might be that blessing of God to someone else. She feels it is important to remember that because then we will be able to touch someone’s life in the way God wants us to. Alexandra has many favorite hymns. But she shares that when growing up she liked "When the Roll Is Called Up Yonder" because in school roll would be taken and each student would respond "here" and she could visualize God taking roll in heaven and being able to say "here" when He called her name.
